Credits, billing cycles, trials and support, answered plainly.
How does the credit system work?
Each plan includes a monthly credit allocation that renews at the start of every billing cycle. Credits are consumed based on agent execution time and complexity. Unused plan credits do not roll over — they reset to your plan's monthly allocation each cycle. You can top up manually at any time; top-up credits are used after your plan credits and stay on your balance until you use them.
What happens when I run out of credits?
When your balance is exhausted, usage pauses until your credits renew or you add prepaid credit. Optional automatic top-up buys a fixed amount when your balance falls below your threshold, within a monthly cap you set. Usage itself never bills your card.
Are there daily limits?
No daily task limits on any paid plan: every paid plan is unlimited everyday use, under fair use. Free Mode runs on Kaer's own models and spends no credits. Your monthly credit is spent at the published API rates on Janus 1.0 Flash, Janus 1.0 Pro and the other models, and work pauses only if that credit runs out. Very heavy automated bursts are briefly rate-limited so everyone stays fast. The free plan allows 2 messages in any 7 days.
How much can I get done on a plan?
A typical Janus 1.0 Flash task costs about $0.006 (measured across real runs), so Kaer Now covers about 1,300 tasks a month, Core about 2,500, Pro about 7,100 and Max about 16,500, before any Free Mode work, which costs nothing. Long builds and Janus 1.0 Pro use more per task; short chats use less.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you pay the difference for the rest of the billing period. Downgrades are made in the billing portal, which shows when the change takes effect.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and debit cards. Enterprise customers can arrange invoiced billing with NET-30 terms. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — new accounts can start a 7-day Kaer Now trial on monthly billing, with $2 of credits. The trial needs a card, and when it ends it becomes Kaer Now at $5 for the first month, then $7.99/month unless you cancel first. Every paid plan includes its price in monthly credit: Kaer Now $8, Core $15 on the $15 plan, Pro $43 and Max $99. The trial is on Kaer Now only. Core, Pro and Max add a first-month credit bonus ($20, $50 and $120 in the first month). No credit card is required to sign up and use the free plan.
Can I invite people?
Every paid plan: invite up to 3 people into each workspace, as admins, members or viewers. The free Starter plan is just you. For more seats, custom roles and shared projects, talk to us about Enterprise.
